How Positive Thinking Can Help An Expectant Mother Enjoy Creative Experience
Pregnancy is one of the most beautiful and endearing phases of our life. Pregnancy brings anxiety, positivity, joy and hope in our lives. That extra blessings, attention and advices does make us feel special. It is necessary and essential to feel happy and joyful during pregnancy, as our emotional well-being directly affects our baby’s development. We need to make an extra effort to channelize our mindset to be happy while pregnant. Once we conceive, we begin experiencing various anxieties and even start worrying about the health of the baby, pregnancy, finances and relationship.

Pregnancy can be considered as a very sensitive phase – lovely and scary at the same time, thus we need to remain happy and positive during this period. We need to get rid of the negative thoughts that surround us and should enjoy every moment of this special phase of our life. Happiness and positivity are something that is innate and keeping ourselves happy and positive during pregnancy is entirely up to us. Pregnancy brings various challenges for us to deal with – from morning sickness to mood swings – we need to deal with them with a positive outlook. While pregnant, we have a lot in our minds – our physical health, concerns about our body, motherhood, etc., but the experience of pregnancy is more than our physical health.
We all have our own anticipations regarding pregnancy and its outcomes. A positive attitude can help us to adapt to our pregnancy and feel good about it.
To enjoy this phase and remain positive, I adopted the below listed tips –
I shared my thoughts and feelings with my partner – all my concerns about pregnancy. I even shared my positive thoughts with him, as it retained positivity and happiness. He would always find solutions to my worries.
Since sleep and rest relaxes our mind, I prioritized it to keep my mood better and remain happy. I slept and relaxed as much as I could.
I like listening to music and writing, as it gives me joy and happiness. So, I engaged myself in these activities to avoid any depressing thoughts enter my mind and remain positive throughout.
Meditation came to my rescue during pregnancy. As all our thoughts are focussed on the baby during pregnancy, meditation helps us to focus entirely on the positive aspects of everything. It helped my mind to remain relaxed and positive and reduced stress.
To reduce stress, we made sure to spend quality time with each other. Those calm moments, exchange of feelings and thoughts helped in building up a strong bond and it made me look positively at all aspects of my pregnancy.
My partner pampered me in all the ways he could, just to make sure I enjoy every moment of my pregnancy and feel happy about it.
It was our daily ritual to talk to the tiny life growing inside me. My husband used to play a particular song towards my belly to which the baby even reacted by kicking me hard. It served as my daily dose of joy and happiness.
We made sure to nurture positive thoughts in my mind about my pregnancy, labor and delivery – no matter what, as worrying about what can go wrong is purely a waste of time. Believing in this helped me enjoy the phase of pregnancy to the best.
I was lucky enough to get a supportive and happy environment. My partner put an extra effort to keep me happy during my pregnancy, so that I could enjoy every moment of my pregnancy and cherish the miracle of life growing inside my body. He ensured my happiness and made me feel special in every way he could. I enjoyed every moment of this beautiful journey leading to motherhood. We even clicked pictures of every special moment of my pregnancy and created beautiful memories to cherish forever.
Happiness is knowing that we are carrying a whole world inside us, with whom we are in love since the day we conceive it, and not even met yet.
